The vision behind the “Evolutive Housing” project, conceived by Renzo Piano and Peter Rice in 1978, was to design a house that could be modified internally.

The interiors can vary from 50 sq.m to 120 sq.m. Even the use of spaces can also be diversified, as well as the finishes, which can be more rustic or elegant, depending on the dweller’s taste.
The exposed electrical and hydraulic systems facilitate maintenance and modifications. Moreover, the heating system includes a solar system to reduce operational costs. The house’s habitable space can be increased thanks to movable glass and a metal wall.
